If you're an online music lover, now's the time to change tweak your login info
If you're not a LinkedIn user and you felt a little jealous yesterday when all your friends were scrambling to?change their passwords, you may get an opportunity to panic today instead! Social?music service?Last.fm is warning the entirety of its userbase that it may have had a similar security breach, affecting all of its subscribers.
The service isn't detailing the specific nature of the breach, but the fact that it is advising every single one of its users to change their passwords should be an indication that it was pretty major. In the?official statement released by Last.fm, the company links the breach to password leaks on "other sites," which we can only assume means LinkedIn.
Thankfully, changing your Last.fm password is a rather painless process: Simply log in to Last.fm using your web browser, click on the "Settings" link near your username and then click the "Password" tab. Enter your new password and save your changes and you should be good to go!
